Hi there! We have news again! Mart Kalvet is growling on new album instead Marko! We felt that his more melodic and versatile style is more suitable for our new material. We were very happy when he agreed to join us once again! In fact all his parts are already recorded! We accomplished to make him most evil growls he has done in last 10 years! There is no other band there where you can hear him doing that.

Other news is that we have now constantly evolving MySpace page. We would have opened it before, but Ecthalion account was already taken. Now it is ours, like it should be! Happy New Year 2009 to everyone! Despite problems in global economy we belive that this year will be one of the best Ecthalion ever had! Ecthalion is back in studio from almost 2,5 years of hiatus. Meanwhile some of us got injured, got master degree, got married, became a father etc... We have been again in studio from christmas 2008. Almost all the guitar parts are now recorded. We are now working mainly on vocals and synths. We are really happy to report that Mariana, our singer and keyboard player from 1998-2000 is back and singing also on our new album. She has really developed as a singer meanwhile, we can´t wait till you hear her. Marko, who joined us in 2003 and made one and only last show with us is doing growls on new album. In January 2005 he actually decided to leave and concentrate on his band Nihilistikrypt. We are not blaming him, since the band was almost a year without a drummer and recording sessions were postponed many times. Two months later all the drum parts, bass and some guitars were finally recorded and Marko promised to do the growls. We are extremly happy that he kept his promise. We are also extremly sorry that you all had to wait for all those years but on the bright side, we are really working hard now on finishing the album and making sure that you won't be disappointed! Keep checking the website since more news are about to come and of course some bits from new material will be uploaded soon!

Sorry for the long delay in any updates (be it on the site or on our progress in the studio). I'm extremely sorry to note that our lineup has been reduced to 2,5. (two and a half, the half being Holger, our lead guitarist) and consists of me (Andres) and Raul (who is more important, as he keeps our band alive in the first place). I'm going through a finger surgery - well, I love Slovakia, and still, fuck these mountains- and as soon as a) finances and b) my finger permits, our second album will be finished. As already promised in the guestbook, there are a few samples of what we are up to available here. All the basics of the album are actually are done, save for solos and keys and vocals and a few acoustic parts. "Words of Void" is an example, drums (yes, you recognised correctly, it is Estonian best metal drummer Marko Atso (Metsatöll, Loits, etc.)), guitars and bass are recorded and mixed in 2005-2007; solos and keys are added to the mix from our previous click-track home recordings and are about to change.
